For those of you that didn’t see my previous post, I received these products from Crowdtap for free for reviewing purposes. However, that influences my opinions none. Let’s get to it!
Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme in the Shade Cashmere Creme: These sell for $9.99 at Ulta and can be found in ten different shades. The product claims to visibly enhance the size of lips over time. Pleasant cooling effect for gentle plumping. Cusiony soft formula with a creamy shine finish.
Does it hold true to its claims: I can not tell if it enhanced the size of my lips. This applies to the lips evenly. It is very creamy. The formula is a little thick, not in a bad way, but the it is a little difficult to squeeze out. I also do not care for the hard applicator. I wish this came in a tube with a doe foot applicator. However, that doesn’t ruin it for me. The formula, while thick, is so creamy and comfortable. It really is a cusiony soft formula and yes, it provides a creamy shine finish. It is not what you expect from a lip plumping product. There is no tingle….. it is exactly like the product claims, a pleasant cooling effect. I found the shade to be beautiful and the formula to be very comfortable. The finish is gloss like, which is my preference. It is smooth and not at all sticky.
Moving on to the Colorstay lipliner in Natural. These sell for $8.99 at Ulta and come in 12 shades. This product claims to provide longwearing definition, helps lip color last longer, prevents feathering and bleeding.
This is a mechanical pencil which I prefer to one you need to sharpen. This does have a built in sharpener though, and that is so you can reshape the tip of the liner for more precise application. This product went on smooth and evenly. There was no skipping. I outlined my lips and shaded in areas on the lip. I had no issue with feathering or bleeding while wearing the lip creme over this. When the lip creme faded, the liner remained beautifully in place, and I was able to reapply product over it without issue. This was a great liner and it paired beautifully with the lip creme.
Overall: I absolutely love how pretty my lips look with these two products. I feel like the shades complimented each other beautifully, and they looked great with my complexion. They were a no fuss application and were extremely comfortable to wear. For how good my lips looked and felt I can overlook my preference in packaging. If you are looking for a traditional lip plumper this may disappoint you. I enjoyed the subtle cooling it provided and did not mind that it was not an intense tingling product. Would I purchase this once my freebie is gone…..
As you can see, I already have another lip creme. I’m really over the whole matte thing and enjoy the creamy shine this provided. I think my makeup looked great with this product.
A huge thank you to #crowdtap and #revlon for sending me these products. I really enjoyed being able to test these out.
